
	Welcome to the home page of the Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Concert Band Our Band is based in the historic city of Lincoln and has been formed since June 2009 (previously known as Lincolnshire Concert Band). We are currently under the direction of musical conductor Brian Newland. The Band performs for numerous events throughout the year, ranging from local village fetes to our own, well established, annual Concert of Remembrance in November from which all proceeds go to the poppy appeal . We also hold our own concerts at which anybody is welcome to attend free of charge, kind donations made at such concerts allow us to continue to be able to do this. We have strong links in the Lincoln City and County Councils performing at events such as the Australian Breakfast and The Remembrance service held at the cenotaph on Lincoln High Street for Remembrance Day. The Band are very proud to be able to say that we have strong links involving Lincolns twin city of Neustadt. We actively pursue these links by visiting our own twin Band, Musikverein Diedesfeld, every 4 years and they visit us every 4 years alternately. This twinning has been going strong since Lincolns twinning with Neustadt began, the most recent visit to them being August 2010. We have a busy schedule throughout the year but are always looking for new opportunities to perform, therefore if you are interested in booking the Band for an event, please do not hesitate to contact Betty, the Bands Secretary via the Contact us page. The Band always welcomes new players so if you wish to come along to a rehearsal then please contact Ryan, the Band Manager via the contact us page and he will give you further details.
